The Ray Anthony band of the late 1940s and 1950s boasted unison work that was always impressive, and charts were seldom built around lengthy improvised ventures by soloists, with the exception of Ray's open-bell trumpet showcases. Arranger George Williams was a major contributor to the success of Anthony's band, and this CD contains "The Fox," one of the many songs which benefit from Williams' touch. Featured vocalists include Ronnie Deauville, Pat Baldwin, Dick Noel and The Skyliners. OMIT-3/4/08-Capitol
