During the period 1946 to 1954 the Ray Anthony Orchestra made many broadcasts for the American Forces Radio Services. The selection on this compact disc has been chosen from a series of tracks transcribed for the US Navy Recruiting Service. The selection demonstrates the great standard the band maintained during these years. Featured vocalists Tommy Mercer, Marcie Miller, the Sky liners and the Anthony Choir lift this album out of the ordinary. A great collection addition for Big Band and Swing enthusiasts.
