Welcome to the official website of Tim Callicrate, Lake Tahoe's pianist extraordinaire. Take home a memory - a Serenade from Tahoe - today. A native of Portland, Oregon, Tim has enjoyed a lifelong love of music and musical theatre. He attended the University of Portland and graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Communications/Business Management. Upon graduation, he toured the Orient with the Department of Defense on a USO tour as El Gallo in the off-broadway musical the Fantasticks. Little did Tim realize that his short visit to the lake later that summer would not be his last. He flew down to play a friend's 21st birthday party in 1985, and decided to stay; twenty-five years later, he still enjoys the majesty and spectacular natural beauty of Lake Tahoe throughout the year. Whether hiking during the summer and fall, or skiing during the winter and spring, Tim feels truly at home in paradise. Even a trek through Nepal could not convince him to leave his beloved lake. His frequent performance schedule takes him throughout the western US and Canada, as well as overseas. The musical selections on these CDs represent his most requested songs. They showcase a great cross-section from the timeless classics in the standard piano repertoire, as well as current Pop and Broadway with a smattering of Country and New Age.
