Reviews:

Every year, this country is bombarded with 15 to 20 memorable new pop songs and every year the good people at Now anthologize them in highly convenient and profitable time capsules (this trend started in the U.K.; they really love their singles over there). Even though we don't exactly get 15 to 20 memorable new Christmas songs each year, at least that many hot contemporary artists take a stab at a Christmas album, keeping things nice and regenerative. Hence, the third installment of Now That's What I Call Christmas, which employs one disc to remind us that great singers loved singing Christmas songs'"from Rat Packers to Ella to the King'"and another to remind us that the kids do too'"from Jessica Simpson to the Pussycat Dolls to Ne-Yo. It's 36 yuletide hits overall and not a repeat to be found. Yes, agnostic mopes, there are 36 Christmas songs out there. Wait, nobody covers "Santa Got Run Over by a Reindeer." Thirty-seven!
