RSD 'First' Aug


“11 O’Clock Tick Tock” was recorded with producer Martin Hannett in Dublin’s Windmill Lane Studios and originally released in May 1980. The song was U2’s first single on Island Records. This 40th anniversary limited edition LP includes the original track and the 7” b-side version of ‘Touch’, plus two previously unreleased live recordings from the band’s September 1980 show at the London Marquee. Pressed on 180-gram, transparent blue vinyl. Gatefold sleeve packaging, with photo gallery on inner gatefold.

Produced by long time U2 collaborators, Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno with Steve Lillywhite, Achtung Baby was engineered by Flood and led by The Fly, and also featured four other singles,Mysterious Ways, One, Even Better Than The Real Thing and Who’s Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses.Released to widespread critical acclaim in November 1991, the record topped charts around the world, and saw the band take home the Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance.

Released in March 1987, U2's the Joshua Tree quickly became the fastest-selling album in British chart history, selling almost 250,000 copies within the first week of release. “Fire” was originally released as the first single from U2’s second album October, in July 1981, with “J Swallow” as the b-side. This 40th anniversary picture disc edition includes both tracks on side A, plus two live recordings of ‘Fire’ on side B - from Werchter in Belgium in July 1982 and from a BBC recording at the Hammersmith Palais in London in December 1982.  All tracks have been newly remastered. Housed in transparent heavyweight PVC outersleeve.

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the U2 single “Gloria”, originally released as a single in October 1981, the second single to be taken from the second studio album October. It remains a staple in U2’s live set.

This 40th anniversary limited edition EP includes the studio version of “Gloria” plus three live versions from three different decades.

The 1990s are represented by the Point Depot show on the band’s home turf of northside Dublin (track A2). Although ticketed as 31st December 1989, the show started at midnight on 1st January 1990 and was broadcast across Europe at the time.

Side B contains two previously unreleased live recordings of “Gloria” – recorded at the Fleet Center in Boston during the Vertigo tour in 2005, and at London’s O2 Arena during the third night of their run of shows in the English capital as part of the iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour in 2015.

The Best of 1990–2000 is the second greatest hits album by U2. It was released on November 5, 2002. U2360° At The Rose Bowl was the penultimate gig of last year's U2360° tour in support of their Grammy-nominated album No Line on The Horizon. The Rose Bowl performance was the band's biggest show of 2009 and U2's biggest ever US show, with a live audience in excess of 97,000. The show was also streamed across seven continents via YouTube. The first ever live streaming of a full-length stadium concert, U2360° at the Rose Bowl had over 10 million views on the channel in one week.

Shot entirely in HD, the concert was filmed with 27 cameras and directed by Tom Krueger who had previously worked on U23D, the first live action 3D concert movie taken from U2's Vertigo Tour. Available in standard and two disc deluxe DVD formats, U2360° At The Rose Bowl will also be U2's first concert available in Blu-ray. The deluxe formats and the Blu-ray will feature a new documentary called Squaring the Circle: Creating U2360°, with new interviews from U2, Paul McGuinness and the team behind the touring production.

Produced by Flood, Brian Eno and The Edge, the 10 tracks on Zooropa - inspired by the band’s experiences on the Zoo TV Tour – include singles ‘Numb’, ‘Lemon’ and ‘Stay (Faraway, So Close!)’ and were recorded in just 6 weeks in early 1993. And the 1994 Grammy Awards saw the band take home the prize for Best Alternative Music Album.

And to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the album’s release, this vinyl reissue will see Zooropa released in a 2LP format for the first time ever, to include two mixes of ‘Lemon’ and ‘Numb’
